A. Front Loading
Contains an overview of the theme that will be studied in one term (3 months). Students are invited to actively explore the information they already know about the theme, and write down what they want to know in the form of “Students Questions”.
B. Exploration
Both teachers and students are actively involved in exploring the learning theme. After receiving learning stimuli from the teacher, students are challenged to express their understanding to friends and teachers in class.
C. Project
As an implementation of students’ understanding, students are challenged to put it in the form of a theme project. This can be in the form of mock-ups, videos, presentations, posters, experiments and more.
D. Field Trip
Each learning theme opens up opportunities for students and teachers to broaden their knowledge by visiting certain places related to the learning theme at that time.
E. Guest Teacher
Each learning theme, opens opportunities for students and teachers to open wider insights by inviting guest teachers who are in accordance with certain scientific fields related to the learning theme at that time.
F. Action
Action is a form of student activity in a learning theme that teaches students to be able to benefit others. This action is carried out by students based on the awareness of why they have to do this. Action can be in the form of sharing sustenance, sharing experiences, being a member of the surrounding community and others.
G. Assembly
Assembly is a meeting of parents, students and teachers at school that contains student performances. Student performances in this assembly are a summary of learning during one theme that is packaged in the form of art performances, exhibitions, dances and so on.
