Ruhiyah is one of the fundamental pillars in the vision and mission of SD Tunas Unggul. Among the ruhiyah programs that are taught and instilled into a habit for students at SD Tunas Unggul is reading, memorizing and exploring the meaning of the Quran contained in juz 30. Because as we understand the activities in reading, memorizing and understanding the Quran are religious orders, and have many virtues from Allah SWT. From this basis, one of the ruhiyah programs that became Grade 6’s big agenda was the Tasmi’ juz 30 activity.
What is Tasmi’?
Tasmi’ is Arabic for : تَسْمِيْعٌ which comes from. The word سَمَّعَ – يُسَمِّعُ – تَسْمِيْعًا which means to listen. Tasmi’ has become one of the terms often used in Quran memorization study groups. It means that the student recites the Quran to the teacher and then is listened to by others.
Purpose of Tasmi’
- Increase student motivation in maintaining and increasing memorization of the Quran in juz 30.
- Evaluation of tahfidz learning at Tunas Unggul school, especially on juz 30.
- Giving appreciation to students who take part in tasmi’ juz 30 in grade 6 after they have successfully deposited all memorization in juz 30 to their teachers in their respective classes.
- Motivating students – Grade 1-5 students to always add and murojaah (repeat) memorization of the Quran in juz 30 until mutqin (really master the memorization and the reading is correct according to the rules of tajweed).
A. Integrated in daily life
All subjects in students’ daily learning are based on the Quran and Hadith. Students are always directed to be close to Allah in all activities at school. And encouraged to do the same at home. The school, through homeroom teachers, collaborates with parents to jointly control the five daily prayers, recitation, and various other good habits.
B. Morning recitation
In the first 15 minutes of class, students and teachers recite the morning recitation together in their respective classrooms. Students and teachers simultaneously recite the holy verses of the Quran and or memorize the short letters of Juz 30 that are targeted at each level.
C. Praying dhuha and dhuhur in congregation
Every student and teacher is accustomed to performing dhuha prayers in jamaah both in class and in the mosque in turn. When dzuhur time arrives, male students in levels 4-6 and all male teachers are required to pray in jamaah in the mosque. The female students perform jama’ah prayers in the classroom with the teacher.
D. Tahfidz Al-Qur’an
Each level has a target of short letters of the 30th juz of the Quran that must be memorized in 1 year. This is an effort to achieve memorization of juz 30 while in elementary school. Every week, there is a special hour for Tahfidz which is used by students to increase their memorization of the Quran. At the end of the school year in level 6 there is a hafidz graduation for students who are able to successfully memorize juz 30 of the Quran, and receive a certificate from the school.
E. BTAQ
BTAQ (Baca Tulis Al-Quran) is conducted simultaneously during habituation hours. The system used is grouping students’ ability to read and write the Quran, so that the handling and teaching of BTAQ is more effective. All teachers have BTAQ guidance groups. Each group consists of 7-8 students.
F. Ramadan Theme
The month of Ramadan is a special month, because it is filled with various Ramadan-themed activities. Namely, a series of Pesantren Kilat (Sanlat) with various different themes each year, ending with a Ramadan festival, social service, and Mabit (Night of Faith and Taqwa Guidance).
